The Fontana technology team selected a winning
strategy in 2003 when they adopted a storage area
network (SAN) based on the HP StorageWorks
Enterprise Virtual Array (EVA). Their traditional direct-
attached storage (DAS) environment was limited in
scalability and flexibility and required excessive
management time.
