  Our tip:

When installing the LED downlight in a ceiling panel, check the correct hole diameter
on an offcut in order to be sure of the size. Nothing is more frustrating than drilling a
hole bigger than the one needed in an expensive and high-quality ceiling panel.

Drill the hole from the visible side, so the edges of the hole do not break away.

When using a hole saw drill, a 3 mm hole can be pre-drilled so that the centre drill of
the hole saw does not slip out of place.
•   For instance, put the ceiling panel in place and guide the power line through the borehole.
•   Connect the two power cables of the LED downlight to the mains supply. The red cable must
be connected to the positive pole (+), the black cable to the negative pole (-). Use suitable
connection blocks or plugs to avoid short circuits.

 Warning!

The LED downlight can be operated only with a constant current source (also called
LED ballast or LED driver). Never use a commercially available halogen transformer
or power supply unit, this will destroy the LED downlight, loss of guarantee!

In case of doubt, consult a specialist.

Refer to chapter “Technical Data” for information on required current and power
consumption of the LED downlight.
•  Insert the LED downlight in the prepared installation hole.
To this end, bend the retaining bracket backwards and plug it, for example through the hole
in the ceiling panel.
Slide in the LED light until it is well-fi tted in the hole; in the process, the tilt the brackets
downwards and fi x the LED light in the installation hole.
Make sure the connection cables are not squeezed.
•   Turn on the power supply to the LED driver (constant power supply) and check whether the
LED downlight is functioning properly.

If the recessed LED downlight does not light up, turn off the power immediately.

Check whether the polarity of the recessed LED downlight’s cable is correct (red
cable = plus/+; black cable = minus/-) and make sure that the LED driver is working
correctly.
Maintenance and Care
•   The LED downlight is maintenance-free. The LED used is very long-lasting and it cannot be
replaced.
•  Prior to cleaning (e.g. to remove dust from the light-emitting opening), the LED downlight
should be turned off or the power supply disconnected. Furthermore, allow the LED downlight
to cool down suffi ciently.
•   The exterior of the LED downlight should be wiped only with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Do not
use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing (discol-
ouring) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing or the transparent cover, as scratches might occur.
Dust can easily be removed using a clean, soft brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant statutory regulations!
