The user of the mini-decade should familiarize himself with the relevant instruction manual
before using the decade. A trouble-free operation can only be guaranteed if the values
mentioned in the instruction manual are followed. A basic knowledge of general
electrotechnics is therefore an absolute requirement.

With the aid of sliding switches any value between 1 Ohm and 11,111111 MOhm can be set
in a quick and safe manner.

The resistance values scaled by the decade can be set in 1 Ohm steps. The produced resistance
value can be calculated from the sum of the values set by the sliding switches (see example on
the back of the decade).

If you want to use the fuse protection please actuate the left and the right input socket of the
device. If you want to use the mini-R-decade without the fuse protection, please actuate the
middle and the right input socket (see example on the back of the decade).

In order to avoid a damage of the internal components of the mini-decade the maximum
carrying capacity of the individual values must not be exceeded in any case (see table
mentioned below). Should you use the fine-wire fuse placed in series it is important that the
current does not exceed a maximum of 400mA (the internal resistance of fuse 1 is
approximately 600 mOhm)!

At a contact voltage of =42 V AC effective and 60 V DC please exercise the necessary proper
care. The mini-R-decade is licensed up to an operating voltage of 250 V AC/DC and applies
to the valid EN-standards according to DIN EN ISO 61010 part 1 / A1 and DIN EN ISO
61326 part 1 / A1 as well as to the seal of quality of the TÜV.
