Then slightly remove the protective strip and stick the LED strip onto the mounting surface. How-
ever, do not use force when pressing down.
Do not pull off the entire protective strip in one go, but only small sections (10 - 20 cm) of it.
c) Connecting the LED strip to the control unit
• Connect the 4-pole plug from the LED strip to the appro-
priate socket on the control unit.
The arrow on the socket must correspond to the labelling
“+12 V”.
Important!
When connecting the LED strip to the control unit, it is essential that you pay attention to
the correct placement and direction, otherwise the LED strip and the control unit will be
damaged, loss of warranty!

damaged, loss of warranty!
• The plug connection can be protected from unintentional disconnection by using a strip of adhesive
tape.
d) Connecting the mains adapter/mains cable
• Connect the round low voltage plug of the mains adapter to the appropriate connector on the control
unit.
• Connect the mains adapter via the supplied mains cable to an appropriate mains socket of the
public supply grid.
e) Inserting the Battery into the IR Remote Control
• During initial operation, check for a plastic protective strip in the battery compartment of the IR
remote control; remove the protective strip (it is used to protect the battery from an early discharge).
The IR remote control is now operational.
The IR remote control is now operational.
• The battery needs replacing if the range of the IR remote control decreases or the control unit no
longer reacts to the IR remote control.
• To change the battery, unlock the locking clip on the battery compartment e.g. with a fl at screw-
driver, after which the battery holder and the battery may be removed.
Exchange the empty battery for a new one of type CR2025. Please pay attention to the correct
polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery. The positive pole is marked with
the “+” symbol and needs to point towards the bottom of the IR remote control.

Reinsert the battery holder into the IR remote control, ensuring the right orientation; do not use
force!
Light control via the IR remote control
Not only can the LED strip be switched on or off via the IR remote control provided, but it also features
different pre-programmed light colours which can be activated directly by pressing one of the 16 direct
access keys (5).
Furthermore, different light effects can be activated via 4 keys (6, 7, 8, 9), the speed of the light effects
can be adjusted using two keys.
Point the LED on the front of the IR remote control at the IR receiver of the control unit and press the
corresponding key.
