For firmware update service, Di866 provides a USB service port.
Di866 is developed to work with the cameras presently
available in the market and it may need to install updated
firmware to work with the new cameras in the coming future,
or the cameras with updated firmware. In this case, a
software to work with such new version will be available at
Nissin’s homepage to download.
The same USB connector cord included in the camera’s
package can be used commonly.

USB Service Port
Di866 can be used with non-hotshoe cameras. Some cameras
provide a flash synchronization contact at x-terminal instead
of hotshoe. For this type of cameras, Di866 has a x-terminal
socket for flash synchronization. A standard sync-cable in the
market is usable.

When taking a picture of a baby or small children, do not shoot the flash
straight onto them. Bounce the light off the ceiling or wall so that it won’t scare
them.
When pointing the flash to a subject in front of the wall, it creates an
unexpected sharp shadow on the wall which results in poor picture quality.
Bounce the light off the ceiling or wall to soften the light over the subject, and
the shadow fades out.
Turn the flash head upwards or sideway. The wall or ceiling in this case should
be flat surface and white color is preferable. Colored ceiling or wall may reflect
its color on the subject.
