3.3.1.2.6 Autopeak
This screen defines how the autopeak functions of the LOCATE mode are configured.
  ON:1  SRCH_AZ: 3       CONFIG-AUTOPEAK
 SIG:1  SRCH_EL: 3   SCAN_RG: 2
BAND:1  SRCH_TH:200  SCAN_TH:200  TILT:0
AUTOPEAK <0>DISABLED <1>ENABLED <2>+PEAK
ON:

AUTOPEAK <0>DISABLED <1>ENABLED <2>+PEAK
The autopeak_enabled item defines if autopeak (SCAN or SEARCH) movements are to be performed as
part of the LOCATE movement.
If disabled (selection 0), the LOCATE procedure will move to the nominal target position without
attempting an autopeak procedure.
If enabled (selection 1), the Azimuth Scanning (3.2.2.3.3) or Spiral Search (3.2.2.3.4) Autopeak
movement will be attempted.
If selection 2 (+PEAK) is chosen, the terminal peakup movement described in 3.2.2.3.5 will also be
enabled.  NOTE:  Verify that the required conditions for terminal peakup (3.2.2.3.5) are present
before selecting this option
SIG:

SIGNAL SOURCE <1>RF <2>SS1 <3>SS2
The autopeak_signal_source item defines which of the three signal source channels will be used to
recognize if a satellite is present.
BAND:

BAND <0-C 1-Ku 2-CK 3-L 4-X 5-Ka 6-S>
The autopeak_band item defines what RF band the receiving equipment is set for during an autopeak.
The band used will affect the size of steps used for autopeak movements.
SRCH_AZ:

SPIRAL SEARCH AZIM LIMIT <1-15 DEGREES>
SRCH_EL:

SPIRAL SEARCH ELEV LIMIT <1-15 DEGREES>
The search_azim/elev_limit items define the area that the spiral search pattern is allowed to search to
recognize a satellite.  If a satellite is not recognized after searching the area defined by these limits, the
spiral search will return to the nominal target position.  The larger the limits, the longer time a search
might take.  If the limits are too small to account for azimuth target inaccuracy due to heading error or to
account for the amount of elevation movement an inclined orbit satellite may exhibit, the spiral search
may quit before moving over the satellite.
SRCH_TH:

SPIRAL SEARCH THRESHOLD <0-999>
This threshold item defines what the minimum signal strength indication is required for the search
procedure to recognize that a satellite is present.
SCAN_RG:

SCAN RANGE <1-15 DEGREES>
The scan_range item defines how many degrees to either side of the nominal azimuth target the scan
autopeak operation will search.
TILT:

POL TILT COMPENSATION <0>OFF <1>ON
This item specifies if additional movements are to be made during the LOCATE function in order to
characterize the pitch and roll of the platform.   Refer to section 3.2.2.3.6 for discussion of this feature.
