Strong Search Capability 

Assets within the CMS can be search 

through a google-like search (simple 
wildcard search) or specifically by user, 
source, area, folder, cabinet, tag or 
bookmark. Advanced search can be used 
for multiple criteria. All searches can be 
done by specified time frame. Users 
without access to assets that meet the 
search criteria will either see these 

assets in the results as red or not at all 
depending on configuration. 

Proprietary Video File 
Management 

Manages .AV (Arbitrator) and .G64 
(Genetec) files. 

Standard Media File 
Management 

Manages .AVI, .ASF, .WMV, .MPEG, .MP3, 
.MP4, .JPG, .BMP, .WAV. .MPG; 

User Management 

Manages Users and Groups creatable in 
CMS. 

LDAP Import 

Can import Active Directory users and 
groups from a single domain to be used 
in auditing, security and rights 

Rights Management 

Can assign users and groups specific 
rights to operations within the CMS 
system. 

Organization of Assets 

Assets can be placed into virtual 

containers (folders and cabinets) for 
organizational purposes. These virtual 
containers have a designated storage 
location (see Storage Matrix) and 
retention period reflecting how long the 
assets should be kept within the system. 

Security of Assets 

Each asset, upon ingestion is given a 
MD5 checksum. Assets can be secured 

individually or folders or cabinets can be 
used to secure groups of assets in a 
hierarchical manner. The assets are 
secured by allowing or restricting users 
and groups at each level.
