TING
There
are
several
things
to
look
for
if
your
trimmer
fails
to
opera
te:
1.
Be
sure
the
trimmer
is
turned
ON.
2.
Make
sure
tha
t
the
ba
tter
y
is
properly
placed
in
the
ba
tter
y
compartment.
T
est
the
ba
tter
y
to
be
sure
it
is
working.
3.
Check
the
blades
to
see
if
they
are
clogged
with
hair
clippings;
if
so,
use
a
cleaning
brush
to
remove
hair
.
4.
If
the
trimmer
still
fails
to
opera
te,
take
or
send
it
to
a
Conair
Ser
vice
Center
(see
warranty
procedure
and
addresses).
OPERA
TING
INSTR
UCTIONS
1.

insert

tter
y,
remove
compartment
cover
at
the
back
of
the
unit
by
pull-
ing
straight
do
wn
(F
ig.1).

If
you
are
not
going
to
use
the
unit
for
a
long
period
of
time,
or
if
the
ba
tter
y
is
dead,
remove
the
ba
tter
y
from
the
unit.
Remove
used
ba
tteries
promptly
. This
will
increase
the
life
of
your
trimmer
.

After
inserting
the
ba
tter
y,
replace
the
ba
tter
y
compartment.
3.
No

On/Off
switch
upwards
to
“On”
position.

finish
using
your
trimmer

On/Off
switch
to
turn
the
trimmer
off.

Al
ways
purchase
the
correct
size
and
grade
of
ba
tter
y
most
suitable
for
the
intended
use.
7.
Replace
all
ba
tteries
of
a
set
at
the
same
time.
8.
Clean
the
ba
tter
y
contacts
and
also
those
of
the
devise
prior
to
ba
tter
y
installa
tion.
9.
Ensure
the
ba
tteries
are
installed
correctly
with
regard
to
polarity
(+
and
-).
10.
Remove
ba
tteries
from
equipment,
which
is
not
to
be
used
for
an
extended
period
of
time.
11.
Remove
used
ba
tteries
promptly
.
12.
Store
unused
ba
tteries
in
their
original
packa
ging,
a
way
from
metal
objects
tha
t
could
short-circuit
them.
Never
short-circuit
ba
tteries.
13.
Never
dispose
of
ba
tteries
in
fire,
except
under
conditions
of
controlled
incinera
tion.
F
ailure
to
obser
ve
this
precaution
may
result
in
an
explosion.
Never
attempt
to
recharge
primar
y
ba
tteries
as
this
may
cause
leaka
ge,
fire,
or

GETTING
ST
AR
TED
TO
SWITCH
TRIMMER
HEADS
Hold
the
handle
of
the
trimmer
while
turning
the
trimmer
head
counterc
lockwise
until
the
"I"
mark
is
aligned
properly
with
the
"arro
w"
mark
(F
ig.
2).
At
this
point
you
should
be
able
to
easily
lift
the
trimmer
head
from
the
handle.
T
o
use
a
new
trim-
mer
head
on
the
unit,
properly
install
the
head
into
position
making
sure
the
"I"
mark
is
aligned
with
the
"arro
w"
mark,
turn
clockwise
until
the
"I"
and
"circ
le"
marks
are
aligned

and
lock
into
position.

protruding

CLEANING
YOUR
TRIMMER
Make
sure
trimmer
is
off.

remove
the
trimmer
head
for
cleaning,
turn
the
head
counter
-c
lockwise
until

aligns
with

lift

gently
