How To Replace Water-Purifying Filter
To reduce the risk of water damage
to your property DO NOT use generic
brands of water filers in your SAMSUNG
Refrigerator.  USE ONLY SAMSUNG
BRAND WATER FILTERS.
SAMSUNG will not be legally responsible
for any damage, including, but not limited
to property damage caused by water
leakage from use of a generic water filter.
SAMSUNG Refrigerators are designed to
work ONLY WITH SAMSUNG Water Filter.
1.  Remove the old water filter.

- Open the unit grill in the upper part of
refrigerator, rotate the filter  90° to the left to
unlock it, and then pull it down.
Place a bucket or bowl a little bit bigger
than the filter under the filter to catch any
water that drips when you separate the
filter from the refrigerator.
2.  Unpack the new filter, and then peel off the red
protective cap.
3.  Put an installation date sticker on the new filter.
Example) If installing it in October, put on the
`OCT 10’ sticker.
4.  Install the new filter.

- Insert the filter into the filter
holder and then rotate it 90° to
the right to lock it. Make sure to
line up the the indicator line ( )
with Lock ( ) sign.

- Close the unit grill, and then
press the ice-maker test button
to check if water flows out.

- We recommend you dispense
water for about 2 minutes (2
quarts or 2 liters) when you
install or replace a filter to flush
the water line.

- After replacing the filter, touch
and hold ‘Replace’ on the upper
right side of the Water Filter
screen for 3 or more seconds
to reset the water filter indicator.
