and the IP Deskphone can only be used to make an emergency call. All 
context-sensitive soft keys and feature keys are blank and unusable 
except for the second context-sensitive soft key which allows you to 
switch between numeric and alphabetic characters. 
Note: When the IP Deskphone is waiting for the user to log on or it is 
blocked by a screen saver, you can still make an emergency call. If 
you pick up the handset, a message "Emergency calls only" appears 
and the IP Deskphone can be used for making only emergency calls.
To make an emergency call:
 
1.
Choose one of the following:
— Pick up the handset.
— Press the handsfree button.
— Press the headset button.
Note:  Hang up or switch off the handset 
to return to normal state.
2.
Dial the emergency number that is 
provided by your dialing plan.
Send
3.
Press the 
Send
 context-sensitive soft 
key.
Note: If you try to dial the number that 
does not match the dialing plan, a 
message appears to inform you that the 
number is incorrect.
