and settings can be read out and reproduced

The interface to the optics carrier is on the 
column.

The connection to other instruments is made 
using the terminals on the rear side of the 
column:

1.  2×CTL2 terminals for auxiliary equipment 

such as the ring illuminator, the base and 
other accessories from the Leica product 
range.

2.  Terminal for the 50-watt power supply 

provided.
