Your VCR can record in either S-VHS or VHS.

● insert a cassette marked "S-VHS", the S-VHS indicator will

light.

● then, perform the steps 1 - 5 below to set the "S-VHS MODE"

to "AUTO".

The S-VHS recording mode will be automatically selected.

● insert a cassette marked "VHS".
The VHS recording mode will be automatically selected
regardless of the S-VHS mode setting.

● insert the cassette marked "S-VHS", the S-VHS indicator will

light.

● then, perform the steps 1 - 5 below to set the "S-VHS MODE"

to "OFF"; the S-VHS indicator will go out.

The VHS recording mode will be selected.

ACCESS MAIN MENU

Press MENU as many times as necessary.

ACCESS FUNCTION SET 2

SCREEN

Place the arrow next to "FUNCTION SET 2" by pressing
CH

5∞ or TIME SCAN 5∞, then press OK.

ACCESS S-VHS MODE

SCREEN

Place the arrow next to
"S-VHS MODE" by
pressing CH

5∞ or TIME

5∞, then press OK.

SELECT MODE

Place the arrow next to
"AUTO" or "OFF" by
pressing CH

5∞ or TIME

5∞.

RETURN TO NORMAL

SCREEN

Press MENU as many times as necessary.
