In order to prevent possible damage to your machine, if the machine you have is not in the categories list,
please call your dealer to obtain the correct speed setting and pulley size.
CAUTION LIGHT
The Sewquiet™ 4000 is equipped with an overload protection circuit that activates automatically, shutting the
motor down if the machine is jammed or if it senses an unsafe load on the motor. A warning light will flash,
indicating that the motor has activated its automatic protection circuit. After the jam has been fixed, simply turn
the motor back on and you are ready to resume sewing.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the motor fails, please turn the power off and disconnect from the main power supply. On the front and the
rear of the motor are two black plugs that contain a carbon brush. Take a screwdriver and unscrew the plug and
remove the carbon brush. Replace each of the two carbon brushes with new ones (2 extra brushes are supplied
with each motor). Also check the fuse in the front of the motor and see if it is still good. If not, please replace it
with a similar amperage fuse. If you are still not able to get the motor to work, please contact your sales agent or
Reliable Corporation.
