install

replace
 
a
 
hot-swap
 
hard

good
 
drive
 
instead
 
of
 
a
 
defective
 
one,
 
your
 
server
 
might
 
lose
 
valuable
 
data.

signs
 
of
 
damage.

Install

a.
   
Ensure
 
that
 
the
 
handle
 
on
 
the
 
hard
 
disk
 
drive
 
tray
 
is
 
in
 
the
 
open
 
position.
 
b.
   
Slide
 
the
 
drive
 
into
 
the
 
bay
 
until
 
it
 
stops.
 
c.
   
Push
 
the
 
handle
 
on
 
the
 
front
 
of
 
the
 
hard
 
disk
 
drive
 
closed.

Check
 
the
 
hard
 
disk
 
drive
 
status
 
LED
 
to
 
verify
 
that
 
the
 
hard
 
disk
 
drive
 
is
 
operating
 
properly.
 
If
 
the
 
amber
 
hard
 
disk
 
drive
 
error
 
LED
 
for
 
a
 
drive
 
is
 
lit
 
continuously,
 
that
 
individual
 
drive
 
is
 
damaged
 
and
 
needs
 
to
 
be
 
replaced.
 
If
 
the
 
green
 
hard
 
disk
 
drive
 
activity
 
LED
 
is
 
flashing,
 
the
 
drive
 
is
 
being
 
accessed.
