cause codes that have been found uniformly consistent with 

conditions requiring re-routing.  

Note that cause codes 18 and 1000 are for cases where the gateway is 

unreachable or inoperative.  

The cause codes in this table are suggested based on data collected 

from various Gateways (shown in 

). Entries with “-” specify 

scenarios for which no data was collected.
