Chapter 10: The NDIS driver with the DataReceiver application
93

Data Filters
On the right-hand side of the Net Configuration window you can enter the
settings for your personal Internet filters and save them.
Depending upon the intended download, then choose the correct filter, as
the values given by the provider must be set up in order for you to be able to
receive the requested data.

This field automatically shows the so-called MAC-Address (see Glossary in
the appendix of this manual) of your PCTV Sat card. This is fixed and
cannot be changed.

This field is displaying the current IP address of the NDIS driver. If
required, you can change the IP address via the network properties in the
Windows operating system.

In the list you will find the following values for the individual filters.
You can edit the entries by double-clicking on the appropriate line.

The Packet IDentifier is an identifier for associated data packets. These can
be video, audio or other data.
Depending upon the type of data that you have requested from the provider,
you will be advised an appropriate number.

In each case, the MAC Address can be selected from the hardware MAC
Address (i.e. “PCTV Sat card”) and “Multicast”. For this purpose a drop-
down menu is displayed when you click on the lines. The contents can be
overwritten
.

Using the Add Filter and Remove Filter buttons underneath the list, you can
add further filters or delete existing ones.

In order that these settings can take effect, click on the Apply button.
