Installing
memory
Your
computer
has
four
connectors
for
installing
dual
inline
memory
modules
(DIMMs)
that
provide
up
to
a
maximum
of
4.0
GB
of
system
memory.
When
installing
DDR2
type
memory
modules,
the
following
rules
apply:
v
Use
1.8
V,
240-pin
DDR2
synchronous
dynamic
random
access
memory
(SDRAM).
v
Use
256
MB,
512
MB
or
1.0
GB
memory
modules
in
any
combination.
To
install
a
memory
module:
1.
Remove
the
cover.

Locate
the
memory
connectors.
See
3.
Open
the
retaining
clips.
4.
Make
sure
that
the
notch
1
on
the
memory
module
aligns
correctly
with
the
connector
key2
on
the
system
board.
Push
the
memory
module
straight
down
into
the
connector
until
the
retaining
clips
close.
