Unusable Paper
R CAUTION:
Important
❒ To prevent faults, do not use any of the following kinds of paper:
• Paper for inkjet printers
• Thermal fax paper
• Art paper
• Aluminum foil
• Carbon paper
• Conductive  paper
• OHP transparencies for colour copying
• Paper with perforated lines
• Hemmed paper
❒ Do not use copy paper that has been already copied onto, fault could occur if you do.
Note
❒ To prevent misfeeds, do not use the following kinds of paper:
• Bent, folded, or creased paper
• Torn paper
• Slippery paper
• Perforated paper
• Rough paper
• Thin paper with little stiffness
• Paper with a dusty surface
❒ If you copy onto rough grain paper, the image might be blurred.
Paper Storage
Note
❒ When storing paper, the following precautions should always be followed:
• Do not store paper where it will be exposed to direct sunlight.
• Avoid storing paper in humid areas (humidity: 70% or less).
• Store on a flat surface.
❒ Do not store paper vertically.
❒ Under high temperature and humidity conditions, or low temperature and
humidity conditions, store paper in vinyl bags.
• Do not use aluminum foil, carbon paper, or similar conductive paper to avoid 
a fire or machine failure.
