support for 64-bit technology through

Intel® EM64T provides outstanding

mail and collaboration applications. The

64-bit capability, combined with system

enhancements including large memory

support up to 16GB DDR2 memory via

8 DIMM slots and new high-speed I/O

with PCI-Express, provides balanced

system performance.

Advanced availability enhancements on

the x236 provide high system reliability

to keep critical applications online.

Choices in integrated RAID-0 or -1 or

optional RAID adapters offer new 

levels of versatility, including new 

IBM ServeRAID™-7k supporting

RAID-5 without taking up a PCI slot.

New memory availability features, hot-

spare and memory mirroring, help 

minimize errors when running memory-

intensive applications. Support for up to

nine hot-swap SCSI drives and hot-
