THE EPG MENU STRUCTURE
The
key gives access to the EchoNAV EPG menu, that helps you to control the
different timers and to view the information in the Electronic Program Guide (EPG).
The EchoNAV EPG makes use of the EPG, i-key and the color keys on your Remote Control
Unit (RCU) to allow for quick access to the different EPG and timer functions. When the EPG
menu shows:

The
(Red) key gives access to the different modes: TV, Radio, or Lists.

(Green) key gives, depending on the selected mode, access to the different lists:
All channels, Current SAT, (pre-named) Favorite lists or Timer list.

(Yellow) key gives access to the different timers:
None (default), VCR (Video Cassette Recorder) or Reminder (wake up of the receiver)

(Blue) key gives you the possibility to zoom in or out on the program information
fields. You can set the zoom factor to: 5, 15, 30 minutes, 1 or 2 hours.

(White) key gives you access to the calendar where you can directly jump to
another date. With this feature it is not necessary to scroll through the EPG window to
select a program in the future.

key gives, if available from the service provider, access to the detailed program
information of the current selected program. Sometimes the information is not directly

immediately back to the current time as indicated by the red line in the EPG window.
NOTE
Most digital channels broadcast program data as an EPG. Digital channels that
broadcast EPG offer you program information in advance for a certain period of time.
The EPG information is not always available. Sometimes the service provider supplies
only the program name, the now/next information or sometimes nothing at all. EchoStar
has no influence on this matter.

CAUTION
Note that the VCR timer does not start or program your video recorder (VCR). You have
to set the timer of your VCR also to the same time as on the receiver. Please refer to
the user’s guide of your VCR how to record from a satellite receiver.
