• Multi-Exposure Shooting
A multi-exposure mode allows you to pre-
view and compare different exposures of
the same image before saving the best
selection (or to exit the session without
recording any images).
• Sharpness Setting
Three sharpness settings are available:
Hard, Soft, or Normal. Hard emphasizes
the edge areas of images, while Soft turns
off all in-camera sharpening.
• Preview/Post-View Function
This function displays the most recently cap-
tured image on-screen. Post-view displays
the image for few seconds and then auto-
matically records it to the storage media
card. Preview provides the option of delet-
ing an image immediately if it you don’t wish
to record it.
• Histogram Display
You may view the histogram of any captured
image on the LCD monitor before or after
recording the image on the storage media
card.
Ergonomic Handling and Intuitive
Operation
The new body design of the FinePix S602
Zoom offers quality SLR-style handling, fur-
ther enhanced with a large grip and an
improved control layout. High-end SLR cam-
era enthusiasts will feel immediately at
home, with a design that naturally fits the
hands, and logical, well-placed controls.
User-Friendly 180,000-Pixel
Electronic Viewfinder (EVF)
The user-friendly, high-resolution 180,000-
pixel LCD viewfinder built into the FinePix
S602 Zoom ensures a crystal-clear preview
image, free of the usual glare problems. It
offers true TTL framing and full on-screen
information for each shot, including shot
number, shutter speed, f-stop, ISO setting,
exposure compensation, histogram, etc.
The EVF also features a dioptric control
allowing it to be adjusted to perfectly match
each user’s eyesight.
Dual Media Slots
The FinePix S602
Zoom is equipped
with convenient dual
media slots for
SmartMedia™ card
and Microdrive™,
letting you concen-
trate on the shooting
without worrying about storage space. You
can even insert different types of media in
each slot and then select which one you want
to use to store each image as you shoot.
Hot Shoe Adapter for External
Flash
In addition to the built-in pop-up flash, a hot
shoe on the top panel enables synchronized
use of external flash units. The camera can
synchronize with an external flash at any
shutter speed up to 1/1,000 second.
Convenient Voice Memo
The FinePix S602 Zoom includes a conve-
nient voice memo function that enables you
to record up to 30 seconds of audio, which
can then be attached to any image file in
the WAV format.
Long-Life Battery
Engineered for low power consumption, a
single set of four AA alkaline batteries
enables the FinePix S602 Zoom to take up
210 shots with EVF on and LCD off.
Easy Link to Any PC
The USB connection and included
FinePixVewer software makes it easy to
downloading image files, video files and
audio files to your PC for viewing or monitor-
ing. FinePixViewer also
lets you connect to
Fujifilm’s Internet ser-

Sophisticated Color and Exposure
Control
Key to the enhanced image quality of the
FinePix S602 Zoom are newly developed
auto white balance and auto exposure (AE)
functions, each designed to best match the
characteristics of the new Super CCD.
• Super Intelligent Auto White Balance
The advanced Super Intelligent Auto White
Balance of the FinePix S602 Zoom precise-
ly detects lighting conditions on your sub-
jects, even in situations with several
different light sources including flash, and
evaluates each factor to deliver highly accu-
rate, natural colors.
• Super Intelligent Auto Exposure
The 64-zone TTL metering system consis-
tently produces perfect exposures, even
under the most difficult lighting conditions.
Precise, Versatile Exposure Control
The FinePix S602
Zoom gives you a
selection of various
exposure control
modes for easy,
convenient picture
taking. Using the
main control dial
on the top panel, aperture and shutter-
speed can be quickly set to your prefer-
ences. The AE lock is easily controlled with
your right thumb.
To handle the widest possible variety of
light conditions, the FinePix S602 Zoom
offers three light metering choices: 64-TTL
Multi, Spot and Average.
Programmed AE
In this mode, the camera automatically
selects shutter speed and aperture, while
allowing you to set all other parameters.
Shutter Speed Priority AE
This mode lets you select the shutter speed,
from 1/1,000-second to 3 seconds.
Aperture-Priority AE
This mode lets you select the lens aperture
over a range of 13 f-stops, from f/2.8 to
f/11.
Manual exposure
For times when you want full creative control,
Manual exposure mode allows you to select
shutter speed and aperture independently.
Auto
In this mode, the camera sets all camera
parameters for you, automatically assuring
optimum performance.
Scene Position
This mode offers convenient five special pro-
gram modes: Portrait, Landscape, Sports,
Night Scene and Black-and-White.
1-cm Super Macro
The Super Macro mode of the FinePix S602
Zoom lets you move in to an amazing 1 cm
from your subject. At this distance, an area
measuring approx. 20
×
30 mm fills the find-
er frame.
Powerful Manual Shooting
Functions
The FinePix S602 Zoom boasts some of the
most comprehensive manual shooting con-
trols of any digital cameras in its class—
functions designed to meet the demanding
needs of professional photographers.
• Manual Focus
In addition to its highly accurate dual-method
AF system, the manual focus mode allows
precise focus by turning the focus ring.
• Manual White Balance
The camera provides six white balance pre-
sets as well as precise fine-tuning. In addi-
tion to manual white balance, the FinePix
S602 Zoom offers a Custom White Balance
setting: simply select the mode to preset
the white balance for as long as required.
This function is especially useful when the
exact lighting conditions cannot be deter-
mined on the spot.
• Extended Exposures
The FinePix S602 Zoom offers improved
extended exposure capability of up to 15
seconds, with lower noise than ever before.
The wide range of slow shutter speeds
makes possible a variety of unique effects.
• Auto Exposure Bracketing
You can use the camera’s Auto Exposure
Bracketing function to automatically capture
three consecutive exposures in 1/3, 2/3 or
1 EV increments over and under the set
exposure.
• Exposure Compensation
Exposure compensation can be adjusted in
the Programmed AE, Aperture priority AE
and Shutter Priority AE modes, from –2 to
+2 EV in 1/3-step increments.
