The tape drive must be connected to a USB 2.0 port. 

Installation Steps

To install the tape drive, perform the following tasks in this order. Follow 

the detailed instructions on the pages listed below.

Unpack and check the tape drive for shipping 

damage.

Select a server or workstation that is to host 

the tape drive.

Download and install the current device 

driver (if required) (see

Install the tape drive in the server or 

workstation. Connect the power and data 

cables to the tape drive.

Connect the SATA data cable to the SATA-to-

USB adapter. Connect the SATA-to-USB 

adapter to the host PC motherboard or USB 

HBA.

Complete the installation by securing the tape 

drive in the host server or workstation and 

turning on power.

Confirm the installation.
