If you press the [VOCODER 1] and [VOCODER 2] sound buttons simultaneously, the sound being received
from the rear panel [EXT IN] jack will be used as the carrier (the signal that is the foundation of the sound).
In this case, turn the rear panel [MIX TO MIC] switch “OFF.”
Connect your external synthesizer to the [EXT IN] jack as shown.
