The EchoStar User Interface is a family of user interfaces which are dedicated for a specific 
range of satellite receivers. Every satellite receiver is equipped with different options. Some 
options are related to the EchoStar User Interface, others are related to physical options as 
Common Interface slots, Embedded reader, display or not, etc.

Please note that this user manual contains the information for the most comprehensive 
model. Sometimes you find that an option is not available on your receiver which means that 
you can ignore the related descriptions and instructions. Please refer to the specifications of 
your receiver to find the available options that are present in your model.

This user manual is part of the documentation set that comes with your EchoStar satellite 
receiver. The documentation set contains the user manuals:

Sometimes you can also find a Manual update which describes the last minute changes to 
either the receiver itself or the EchoStar User Interface which are not described in the user 
manuals that come with your EchoStar satellite receiver.

The receiver is intended to be installed for private domestic use. This receiver has not been 
designed for other types of usage (including but not limited to commercial or head-end 
installations), therefore EchoStar International Corporation makes no warranties with respect 
to product performance or reliability in such installations.

This documentation set is intended for anyone who uses an EchoStar satellite receiver. It can 
be used by both first-time and experienced users of satellite receivers who want to install, use 
and maintain their receiver.

This user manual gives an explanation and an instruction on the use of the EchoStar user 
interface and is divided into separate sections and chapters. For easy access to the 
information, a clear table of content and an index are provided.

If your receiver has conditional access capabilities:

For pay-services, please only use Common Interface (CI) modules and the related Smartcard 
which are approved by the service provider of the encrypted program you want to receive. 
Only this will enable the receiver to work properly.

Anomalies can occur when an unapproved CI-module and/or Smartcard is used. EchoStar 
can not and will not accept any responsibility for the performance of such CI-modules and/or 
smartcards. If you use an unapproved CI-module and/or Smartcard, EchoStar is no longer 
able to provide any assistance or support. Use of an unapproved CI-module and/or 
Smartcard will void any warranty claim. If you have any doubt which CI-modules are 
approved, please ask your service provider for assistance.

EchoStar International Corporation will to the best of its abilities, do everything to provide you 
with software updates to keep your receiver up-to-date as possible, which will not guarantee 
reception of all available channels. EchoStar International Corporation makes no warranties 
with respect to the use of the supplied software downloads and specifically disclaims any 
implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose.

EchoStar International Corporation reserves the right, for whatever reason, to revise, change 
or modify the software that can be used by your satellite receiver without the obligation to 
notify or warrant any person or organization of such change. Therefore, on a regular basis, 
please visit our web site or check the satellite (OTA) for the latest software available.
