The EchoStar Remote Control Unit (RCU) is 
used to control the receiver. The RCU requires 
two AAA (LR03, UM4) alkaline batteries to 
operate.

■

Mute, to temporary, shut down the audio.

■

ON/STANDBY, to switch to stand-by or on.

■

MENU, to go to the main menu.

■

GUIDE, to view the Electronic Program 
Guide.

■

EXIT, 
to leave a menu or feature;
to go one menu level back.

■

V-, to decrease the volume.

■

V+, to increase the volume.

■

i, To view the help, or to view additional 
information, or to select an active option.

■

P+, to go one program or channel up.

■

P-, to go one program or channel down.

■

, to go left, up, right or down.

■

SELECT, to go to the channel list, or to 
make a menu selection.

■

TV, to switch the receiver signal to the TV on 
or off (SCART connection only).

■

Subtitle, to choose another subtitle 
language.

■

Audio, to choose a language.

■

Back, to go to the previous menu level.

CAUTION
Insert the batteries correctly, make sure the 
polarity matches the instruction in the 
battery compartment.

NUMBER KEYS, 
To enter alpha-numerical settings;
To type in a channel number.

HELP, provided for future use.

White
to go to an option as indicated in the active 
on-screen menu.
TXT, to choose teletext.

■

Red;
to go to an option as indicated in the active 
on-screen menu.

■

Green
to go to an option as indicated in the active 
on-screen menu.

■

Yellow
to go to an option as indicated in the active 
on-screen menu. 

■

Blue
to go to an option as indicated in the active 
on-screen menu.
