The

Basic Dial Access

 window allows you to change commonly used

parameter settings for an 8000 RAC, a 5399 RAC or ISDN Primary Rate
RAC.

Basic Dial Access

 displays information in the

Direction, Mode, Interface

Options

, and

Time

 boxes. In addition, click

Edit Modem

 to view the

Edit Modem

window which allows changes to internal modem definitions.

The

Direction

 box determines whether the port transmits or receives data.

The

Outgoing

 and

Incoming

 buttons allow the channel to use outgoing or

incoming connections. You can select one or both buttons. These buttons,
combined with your selection in the

Type

 box, determine the

Mode

 box

options you can use. When an option is unavailable it is grayed out.
