Selecting a Loopback Code to Send to a Remote Device
To select a far-end alarm and control channel code (FEAC) for the remote end of
the test connection, go to the t3-test prompt (for example,
the test connection, go to the t3-test prompt (for example,
t3-test/2/1
) and enter
the following command:
send-feac-loop-code <
action>
action
is one of the following:
•
no-action
(the default setting) does not send code to the remote end.
•
lineloop
bypasses the framing device and passes code directly through the
loop.
•
deactivatell
disables generation of line loopback code.
•
payloadloop
sends a loop-up signal to the remote end to initiate payload
loopback. The signal loops through the framing device before the received
signal is looped back for retransmission.
signal is looped back for retransmission.
•
deactivatepl
sends a loop-down code to the remote end to stop payload
loopback.
The following example shows how to start and stop payload loopback over the
FT3 interface on slot 2, connector 1, T1 channel 4:

Starting or Stopping Loopback Mode on a Remote Device

|
down}-code {no-action
|
<
timeslot>}
up
sends a loop-up signal to start a loopback test.
down
sends a loop-down signal to stop a loopback test.
no-action
(the deafult setting) indicates no loopback signal.
timeslot
is a timeslot from 1 to 24 on which to send the loopback initialization or
