Attaching the RAIDStation7 Fibre Channel Storage
Array to an AC Power Source
Follow this procedure to connect the RAIDStation7 Fibre Channel Storage Array
to a power source:
1.
Make sure that the power switch on the rear of the Storage Array is turned
off.
2.
Attach the socket ends of the two provided power cords to the receptacles on
the rear of the Storage Array (see Figure 3-6).
3.
Plug the other ends of the power cords into grounded electrical outlets.
4.
Turn the power on by pressing the switch on the back of the Storage Array to
the “on” position.
WARNING: Each power cord supplies power to a separate power supply.
CAUTION: To avoid static electricity damage to host-based cards, shut
down the host system and power off the Storage Array before you disconnect
the Fibre Channel cable from the host system. In addition, wear a properly
grounded antistatic wrist strap and grounding wire when you disconnect the
shelf from the host system.
