I/O Settings

The I/O settings option has four sub-options, AppSocket, EtherTalk, IP, LPR, and
Parallel, each of which displays current printer settings for its network protocol.

1.

Go to the printer home page (fig. 5.7). See “Printer Home Page” earlier in this
chapter for details.

Select Printer Information: I/O Settings (fig. 5.16). The I/O Settings window
appears (fig. 5.19).

3.

Select the desired protocol (AppSocket, EtherTalk, IP, LPR, or Parallel) (fig.
5.19); then, check its settings.

The AppSocket Information Page (fig. 5.20) lists settings for Type, On,
Interpreter, Enabled, and Printer Control:

The EtherTalk Information Page (fig. 5.21) lists Filtering,
DelayedOutputClose, Ethernet Address, HasNames, Type, On,
EtherTalkZone, EtherTalk Type, Interpreter, Enabled, and Printer
Controller settings.
