FTP, enable this protocol.

FTP. The ReadyNAS supports anonymous or
user access for FTP clients. You can elect to set
up port forwarding to nonstandard ports for
passive FTP, allowing clients to initiate a
connection to the ReadyNAS.

You can set and change quotas on shared folders. Without a quota, a shared folder can use all of the space
on the volume it resides on. You cannot set quotas on home folders. Quotas are a property of the folder
and can be set when the folder is created, or added or changed like any folder property.

Bit rot is a term sometimes used to describe the gradual changes in disks causing a slow loss of reliability.
ReadyNAS OS can use the checksum functions to check for bit rot and the redundancy in RAID-protected
disks to rewrite corrected data.
