Changes in Release 1.5.116

•  Syncro-cut (long or non-standard size) document support for most Roll fed Windows GDI
printers:
o
Many roll fed printers, such as Xerox, Epson, or HP wide format printers, can print
produce non standard page lengths.
o
Xerox FreeFlow Accxes control has always supported Syncro Cut to print non-
standard sizes correctly on Xerox Wide Format printers.
o
From release 1.5.116, Syncro Cut is supported on any Windows printer where the
driver supports custom sizes. (NOTE, not all printers provide a windows driver which
supports this feature). The EPSON Stylus-Pro series and most Postscript devices  are
compatible with this feature. All printers should be tested before implementation
to ensure compatibility.
o
Maximum length is dependant on the print driver. E.g. Most EPSON wide format
printers support up to 15m prints.
o
Xerox cannot provide support where 3
rd
party print drivers are not compatible.
o
To enable this support, add appropriate ROLL_xxx paper size(s) to the printer in the
Printers tab on the Settings window.
•  Fix issue where some documents showed fine white lines across or down the print.
•  Fix issue where some TIFF documents were printed with incorrect size and orientation
•  Fix issue where some TIFF documents printed with parts of document in the wrong
position.
•  Support for running in background on Xerox 7142MFP and Accxes Copy Touch systems.
•  Fix page size selection on multi-byte codepages (eg. Chinese/Japanese)
•  Improve handling of large print jobs on Windows printers:
o
Windows spooler does not support spool files >4GB
o
Previously large jobs could exceed 4GB and produce blank or black pages.
o
Accxes Control will now split Windows GDI jobs into chunks to avoid exceeding the
4GB limit, thus allowing very large jobs to be produced successfully.
o
Where a printer supporting Duplex (double-sided) printing is used, the DUPLEX
option in the ‘Size, Media and Layout’ category should be set to TRUE. This ensures
job splitting does not result in single sided pages within a duplex job.
•  Improve print quality on Windows GDI printers, and fix issue where some large sizes (A1+)
could produce white or black pages.
o
Print quality is automatically varied according to available memory.
o
To achieve optimum quality on large format GDI printers, a 64bit windows system
should be used to run FreeFlow Accxes Control.
o
MAXRES option in the Destination category can now be used to force an increase
in quality (up to the printers native resolution). This is at the expense of processing
speed. By default a MAXRES of 300dpi is used, which is suitable for most
applications. MAXRES can also be set below 300dpi to increase processing speed.
•  Fix issue where auto-rotate could cause incorrect rotation on Windows GDI printers.
•  Fix issue where PDF processing could fail after 256 documents in some circumstances,
requiring a restart of FreeFlow Accxes Control.
•  Fix issue where documents (mainly PS/PDF) could ‘randomly’ stop processing correctly,
often with the error ‘Could Not Save File’, requiring a restart of FreeFlow Accxes Control.
•  Adjust log file messages in debug mode to provide more useful information and make
logs easier to read.
