announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco
®
ONS 15454 and ONS 15454E 10-Gbps MR Transponder and
4x2.5-Gbps Muxponder. The last day to order the affected products is February 7, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue
to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until February 7, 2011. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones,
definitions, and dates for the Cisco ONS 15454 and ONS 15454E 10-Gbps MR Transponder and 4x2.5-Gbps Muxponder. Table 2 lists the
product part numbers affected by this announcement.
Customers are encouraged to migrate to the Cisco ONS 15454 and ONS 15454E 10-Gbps MR Enhanced Transponder and 4x2.5-Gbps
Enhanced Muxponder, which provide improved performance, reliability and operability. Information about the replacement products
