announces the end-of-sale and end-of-life dates for the Cisco
®
ONS 15305 Release 1.x software and hardware. The last day to
order the affected products is January 31, 2006. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco
Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until January 31, 2009, for the application software and January 31, 2011, for the hardware and OS.
Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the affected product. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by
this announcement. Customers are encouraged to migrate to Cisco ONS 15305 Release 2.x or later, which is a superset of the products
supported with Release 1.x and provides a more effective solution. Information about the replacement products can be found at:
