Chapter 3  Installation 

Cisco MeetingPlace for Notes System Manager’s Guide

The MeetingPlace for Notes Setup program installs two templates 
(MPSA.ntf and mail509aMP.ntf) on your Windows server. You 
will need to copy these templates to your Domino system after 
running Setup. Most of the design changes in the mail template 
take place in the Calendar Entry form and in a series of script 
libraries.

If you have customized your mail template, it is recommended 
that you re-apply these custom changes to the new MeetingPlace 
template that is installed during Setup.

To prepare for the MeetingPlace for Notes installation, complete 
the following tasks:

Refer to Table 3-1 to make sure your MeetingPlace, Domino, 

and Windows servers meet the specified requirements.

Fill in Table 3-2 so you have all the information needed to 
complete the installation.

(Optional) Enter your users’ MeetingPlace user IDs into one 
of the fields in the Domino address book (refer to page 28).

Make a copy of your current mail template and place this 
backup file in another directory. 

Shut down MeetingPlace E-mail Gateway, if installed (refer 

to page 30).

Note: If you are upgrading from MeetingPlace for Notes 4.1.3 to 
4.2.7, please refer to the MeetingPlace for Notes 4.2.7 Release 
Note for detailed upgrade instructions.

Note: These requirements are for MeetingPlace for Notes on a 
customer provided Windows server. For multiple gateway 
requirements, please refer to Chapter 3 “Telephony and LAN 
Planning” in the MeetingServer Installation Planning Guide or 
consult with your support representative.
