3. Special Extension Scope 
This extension is a special extension and its scope will be limited compared with the current Software Maintenance 
Support, which is due to expire on July 9, 2015. 
Specifically, the following terms apply to the extension: 
● 
Customer must be running MeetingPlace v8.6 MR1, which is targeted to be posted to Cisco.com 
by May 26, 2015. 
● 
Beyond MeetingPlace v8.6 MR1, Cisco will fix only severity 1 and severity 2 defects. 
● 
Regardless of the severity level of a bug, it will be left to Ci
sco’s sole discretion to decide 
whether or not to fix it. 
● 
The extension will cover only the Application Server component of MeetingPlace v8.6 (refer to Figure 1). 
● 
The extension does not apply to the Hardware Media Server (HMS), even on a Type II deployment 
(refer to Figure 1). 
● 
Cisco is not adding any new features as part of the extension. 
4. Eligibility 
● 
Current MeetingPlace v8.6 customers with type II deployments will be eligible for the extension if they 
upgrade to MeetingPlace v8.6 MR1 by July 31, 2015. 
● 
Current MeetingPlace v8.5 customers with type II deployments will be eligible for the extension only if they 
upgrade to MeetingPlace v8.6 MR1 by July 31, 2015. 
● 
Customers with older versions (older than v8.5) or different types (that is, type I or audio-only) are not 
eligible for the extension.
