Introduction
The Content Switch Module (CSM) is supported in both Hybrid and Native mode for the Catalyst switch.
When run with Hybrid OS on the Catalyst, the CSM cannot be upgraded using an external TFTP server. The
only way to upgrade the CSM is to use the MSFC's Bootflash.
This document provides information to upgrade a CSM in Hybrid mode.
Prerequisites
Requirements
Before attempting this configuration, ensure that you meet these requirements:
Refer to the CSM Release Notes. The upgrade procedure in the current release notes (as of March 1,
2004) are for Native IOS, not Hybrid.
