This section describes how to upgrade from Cisco NX-OS Release 5.0(2)N2(1a) and earlier releases. An
upgrade from these releases will be disruptive. Upgrading a Cisco Nexus 5000 Series switch also

DETAILED STEPS
Step 1
Log in to Cisco.com to access the Software Download Center. To log in to Cisco.com, go to
http://www.cisco.com/ and click Log In at the top of the page. Enter your Cisco username and password.

Access the Software Download Center at
. Navigate to the software downloads
for Cisco Nexus 5000 Series switches. Links to the download images for the switch are listed.
Step 2
Choose and download the kickstart and system software files to a local server.
Step 3
Verify that the required space is available in the bootflash: directory for the image file(s) to be copied.
