When considering the memory configuration of your server, you should observe the following:

DIMMs within the blade server should all be the same type. This goes for both speed and 
size. Do not mix different sized DIMMs or DIMMs with different clock rates in the same blade 
server. Doing so will cause a significant loss of performance.

Your selected CPU(s) can have some effect on performance.

■

DIMMs can be run in a 1 DIMM per channel or a two DIMM per channel configuration. Each of 
these arrangements can provide different behavior.
