Introduction
With the Cisco 2600 series modular access router family, Cisco Systems extends enterprise-class and
managed services customer premises equipment (CPE) versatility, integration, and power to branch
offices. The widely deployed Cisco 2600 series modular access routers are designed to enable customers
to easily adopt future technologies and scale to accommodate network expansion. The Cisco 2600 series
shares modular interfaces with the Cisco 1600, Cisco 1700, and Cisco 3600 series, providing a solution
to meet today’s branch office needs for applications such as:
