This section describes the configuration required on your wireless LAN controller to support 802.11ac
radios.
Enabling 802.11ac Support on the Controller
On the Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) graphical interface, follow these steps to enable support for
802.11ac on the  access point.
Step 1
Choose Wireless > 802.11a/n/ac > High Throughput (802.11n/ac).
Step 2
Make sure that the Enabled check box is selected for 11ac Mode to enable the 802.11ac support on the
network.
Step 3
Select the check boxes for the MCS 8 and 9 data rates to specify the modulation and coding scheme
(MCS) rates at which data can be transmitted between the access point and the client. If you have client
devices on your network that use other MCS rates for high throughput, select those rates also.
Step 4
Click Apply.
Step 5
Click Save Configuration.
