PRODUCT MIGRATION OPTIONS
The recommended replacements for the Cisco Narrow Band Service Modules are the Cisco Multi-protocol Service Modules. The Cisco Multi-
protocol Service Modules (MPSM) are single-height service modules for use in the Cisco MGX 8800 and Cisco MGX 8200 Multiservice
Switches. The MPSM delivers connectivity from DS0 to OC-3 (STM-1) speeds. The Cisco MPSM-8-T1E1 supports the same functionality as
the Cisco 8-port FRSM, AUSM and CESM Narrow Band service modules. The Cisco MPSM-T3E3-155 and MPSM-16-T1E1 support Any-
Service-Any-Port (ASAP) functionality which allows both ATM and Frame Relay services to be provisioned on the same card. See Table 3 for
a brief product comparison.
