This command configures the maximum number of times communication with a AAA server will be attempted before it 
is marked as “Not Responding”.

Exec > Global Configuration > Context Configuration 

configure > context context_name

 

Entering the above command sequence results in the following prompt: 

[context_name]host_name(config-ctx)# 

 

radius max-retries max_retries 

default radius max-retries 

 

Configures the default setting. 

 

Specifies the maximum number of times communication with a AAA server will be attempted before it is 
marked as “Not Responding”, and the detect dead server’s consecutive failures count is incremented. 

 must be an integer from 0 through 65535. Default: 5 

Use this command to configure the maximum number of times communication with a AAA server will be 
attempted before it is marked as “Not Responding”. 

 

The following command configures the maximum number of times communication with a AAA server will 
be attempted before it is marked as “Not Responding” to
