Set Password and Time Zone
Introduction
This section provides the information for setting the password and time zone for the
TSBroadcaster.
Assumptions
The information provided in this section assumes that the initial installation and
configuration steps of the server have already been performed.
Set the sandt User Password
The TSBroadcaster provides an sandt account on the operating system to allow you
to manage the installation without using the root account.
Note: The default account for the TSBroadcaster is sandt.
To set the sandt user password, complete the following steps.

To set the sandt user password, complete the following steps.
1.
At the Username: prompt, log in as root.
2.
At the password prompt, type the password that was used during the
installation of the TSBroadcaster or that you set during configuration.
3.
At the # prompt, type passwd sandt.
4.
When prompted, type the password that you have selected and type it again
to confirm it.
5.
Type exit to log out.
Set the TSBroadcaster Time Zone
To set the time zone for the TSBroadcaster, complete the following steps.
1.
At the Username: prompt, log in as sandt.
2.
At the password prompt, type the password that you specified in Set the
sandt User Password.
Result: The command prompt appears.

To find an appropriate time zone for the TSBroadcaster to operate in, type the
following command at the command prompt:
cd /sandt/java/jre/lib/zi
Result: The initial hierarchy of continents or areas is displayed.

4.
Use the cd command to navigate to the continent or area that contains the
time zone in which you will be operating the TSBroadcaster.
