Delete the POD_Data and sam File Servers
Introduction
In this procedure, you will delete the existing POD_Date and sam file servers. Then,
when the system rebuilds the servers automatically, the servers will be rebuilt with
the proper data.
Stopping the saManager Process
Your first step is to stop the saManager process on the DNCS. Follow these steps to
stop the saManager process.
1. On the DNCS Control window, highlight the saManager process.
2. Click Process and then select Stop Process.
Result: In a few minutes, the indicator for the saManager process changes
from green to red.
Deleting the POD_Data and sam File Servers
Follow these instructions to delete the POD_Data and sam file servers.
Note: The saManager process on the DNCS should be stopped.

From the DNCS Administrative Console, select the Application Interface
Modules tab.

Click BFS Client.
Result: The BFS Client Sites window opens.

Double-click the DNCS site.
Result: The Site [DNCS] Broadcast File Server List window opens.

Highlight the POD_Data file server.
5.
Click File and then select Delete.
Result: A confirmation message appears.

Click Yes and then press Enter.
Result: The system deletes the POD_Data file server.

Highlight the sam file server.
8.
Click File and then select Delete.
Result: A confirmation message appears.
