Basic System Functionality Tests

Run the following tests to verify the basic functionality of the IPG matrix. If the 

actual results differ from the stated results, note the differences and attempt to 

troubleshoot the condition. 

 

1. 

Apply power to the DHCT, and then press GUIDE on the remote control. 
Results:   
• 

The IPG matrix (grid) appears with data. 

• 

A video display of the currently tuned channel appears in the upper-right 

corner. 

• 

The channel logo, short description, program title, and another brief 

description appear in the upper-left corner. 

Notes:   
 

2. 

Press the up, down, right, and left arrows of the remote control in turn. 
Result:  The matrix scrolls in the selected direction. 
Notes:   
 

3. 

Press and hold each of the arrow keys in turn. 
Result:  After a few “slow” scrolls in the selected direction, the matrix scrolls 

at a much quicker rate. 
Notes:   
 

4. 

Press PAGE + and PAGE – on the remote control. 
Result:  The matrix scrolls up and down one page at a time. 
Notes:   
 

5. 

Press and hold PAGE + and PAGE – in turn. 
Result:  After a few “slow” scrolls in the selected direction, the matrix scrolls 

at a much quicker rate.
