This section provides the following information: 

 

Identifies the CDs that are needed to install the service pack software 

 

List the software components tested and released as part of this service pack 

 

Provides the antecedents and prerequisites required before installing this service 
pack 

 

This release succeeds and carries forward all of the enhancements, features, and 
improvements of previous system releases and related service packs. 

 

The DBDS must meet the following prerequisites before you install this service pack: 

 

SR 2.5 and 3.5 is currently installed on your system 

 

You have the CD labeled DBDS Maintenance CD 2.1.x in order to complete the 
required backups of the database and the filesystem 
Note:  The DBDS Maintenance CD replaces Backup/Restore Floppy 5.0.x, as well 
as versions 1.0.4 and 1.1.2 of the DBDS Maintenance CD. You cannot use the 
floppy disk to back up your system components. 

 

Sites that are using the RNCS component of the DBDS need the DVD labeled 
similarly to RNCS Install DVD 
Note: Note that this is a DVD and not a CD. 

 

DBDS Utilities Version 5.1.x or later is installed on your system 

 

Verify that you have disabled inband system information (SI) on your system. 
For detailed instructions, refer to Recommendations for Setting System Information 
to Out-of-Band. 

 

The following software applications and patches have been tested and are being 
released as part of this service pack: 

 

DNCS Application 4.0.0.27p3 and 4.0.0.27p5

DNCS GUI/WUI 4.0.0.27 and 4.0.0.27p5
