Before beginning the upgrade process, verify the current software version of the
QPSK and QAM-family of modulators. This provides the operator with an
understanding of what software is currently in use on the network. At this time in
the pre-upgrade process, you also need to back up this software to ensure that you
can roll back to your previous network configuration.
