Comments on Three Options
The following dncsDbData options require special comment:

-U and -L. Cisco engineers may occasionally want to unload and load a database
without using the high-performance features introduced with SR 2.1 and SR 3.0.
Important!  Cisco recommends that use of the -U and -L options be restricted to
Cisco engineers, only.

-g. Cisco engineers designed the -g option to implement the gzip and gunzip file
compression and uncompression utilities when loading and unloading database
tables to the hard drive. In some cases, a database unload operation that would
otherwise not fit into an existing filesystem on the DNCS or Application Server,
will fit if the -g option is used in conjunction with the -u option. Instructions later
in this chapter advise system operators to call Cisco if they discover that an
unload of their database will not fit into an existing filesystem.
Important!  Cisco recommends that system operators do not use the -g option
when unloading their database unless instructed to do so by Cisco Services.
