Database Sizing Estimator Web Applet
The Database Sizing Estimator web applet allows you to perform your database sizing needs.
Note: The Database Sizing Estimator estimates databases for Unified ICM Release 7.5(1) or
higher.
When this applet initially runs, it provides initial values typical for a small installation.
Note: The Database Sizing Estimator runs locally as a Java Applet on your own system. The
information you enter into this applet is not sent back to the web server hosting the applet.
The Database Sizing Estimator estimates the storage requirements for a Cisco Unified ICM,
Unified CCE, or Unified SCCE logger or HDS database given information about the
environment's configuration (for example, the number of agents, skill groups, call types, and
so on) and database retention days. You can supply initial values by loading values from your
local Unified ICM database.
Whenever values are updated in the Database Sizing Estimator, the application recalculates its
totals, allowing you to immediately see the affects of each change as it is being made, with the
values displayed in a spreadsheet. This allows you to engage in what-if type scenarios to see
the effects that various changes will have on the database sizing requirements.
The Database Sizing Estimator allows you to save the values as an XML file on your local
machine. At any time, the saved XML file can be loaded back into the Database Sizing Estimator,
so you can continue revising your estimates.
