To upgrade from CAD 6.x and earlier to CAD 8.0(1a):
1. Back up your CAD data according to the procedures in the Cisco CAD
Installation Guide for that version of CAD.
2. Uninstall CAD.
3. Install CAD 7.2 according to the procedures in the Cisco CAD Installation
Guide for CAD 7.2.
4. Back up the CAD 7.2 data according to the procedures in the Cisco CAD

5. Install CAD 8.0(1a). See

Upgrading from CAD 7.0 and 7.1 to CAD 8.0(1a)
This upgrade is a staged over the top upgrade through CAD 7.2. This means that the
installation process in both upgrades automatically backs up and restores your CAD
data.
